Our Commitment

In the interest of serving the insured to deliver projects without incident, our loss control engineers are assigned to each account to build rapport and understand the project’s unique risks. They connect with the project manager and construction team to introduce key fire prevention and security expectations, including our Loss Control Toolbox. We conduct our first site visit within 30 days of vertical construction and continue inspections every 90 days to support compliance and support proactive risk management.

Thermal Imaging Cameras

In addition to diligent protocols, many fires occurring from construction activities can be prevented with the use of a handheld Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC). The focus of our TIC initiative aims to expand awareness of the benefits and versatility of this technology, with the aim of usage becoming more widespread within the industry. The ability to “see the heat” is instrumental in mitigating fire damage—our primary objective. TIC’s provide a variety of uses, such as the ability to detect water leaks.

Water Flow Detection

This program continues our philosophy regarding the benefit of combining technology with programmatic solutions to mitigate property damage. Underwriters can offer incentives to insureds who incorporate these solutions provided they meet our minimum specifications. If you do not have a vendor in mind, we have provided a list of providers who can offer these solutions. We Prefer these vendors due to their overall solution and willingness to back it up with a Performance Guarantee; see our Minimum Performance Standards for more information.

Preferred Vendors*

*The independent third-party security vendors listed on this website is strictly for convenience. The decision to select, hire, and/or manage any of these vendors is the sole responsibility of the end user.
